Jamya Robinson (she/her) graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Urban Studies and Public Policy from Dillard University, a historically black college in New Orleans, LA, in 2021. Her research interests include social movements, education, and race. She examines specifically how Black social justice movements are taught in K-12 education. Before starting the program, she served as a student ambassador for the Andrew Goodman Foundation, a civic engagement organization dedicated to protecting student voting rights. In her undergraduate career, she conducted mixed methods research on the relationship between housing segregation and environmental inequalities in New Orleans, LA.
