Sehrazat Gulsum is a first-year Ph.D. student at the University of Notre Dame (Sociology & Peace Studies). She is also a Doctoral Student Affiliate of the Kellogg Institute for International Studies and a Mullen Family Fellow. She received her B.A. degrees (with high honors) in Political Science & International Relations and in Sociology from Bogazici University in 2018.
She is primarily interested in the socio-political forces and conditions that facilitate or obstruct participatory and deliberative urban governance and the role of urban movements in shaping the city.
