Profile
Saehwan Lee is a Ph.D. student in Sociology at the University of Notre Dame, specializing in the intersections of religion, politics, and culture. His research broadly focuses on the role of religion in driving social change within post-secular societies, using quantitative and computational methods to study these dynamics.
Currently, Saehwan’s work explores how religion influences beliefs about meritocracy, examines the relationship between Christian nationalism and authoritarianism, and engages with broader questions surrounding power and inequality.
Before beginning his Ph.D. studies, Saehwan earned an M.A. in Sociology from Sogang University and a B.A. in Theology and Political Science from Yonsei University.
