Profile

Dalia Mota entered the University of Notre Dame’s Sociology Ph.D. program in the Fall of 2022. They are a graduate affiliate with the Center for Research on Educational Opportunity (CREO) and the Program for Interdisciplinary Education Research (ND PIER). They received their B.A. in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University. Before attending Notre Dame, she served as an educator in New York’s Charter Schools as a substitute teacher, and also as a Grant Writer for the Center for Latino Adolescent and Family Health. Dalia’s current research interests include the school-to-prison nexus as well as tracking and educational stratification.
