Profile

Gaddie’s work investigates how individual and group identities take shape over time.  In research populations as diverse as missionaries, jazz musicians, and people who might leave their religion, Gaddie conducts ethnographic research and in-depth interviews. Her emerging data reveal processes of change in identity and in the self. Gaddie received her Master of Arts degree in Social Sciences at the University of Chicago and is a graduate of Centre College.
