Michael Rodríguez-Muñiz is an associate professor of sociology at the University of California, Berkeley. His research explores the intersections of race, politics, and knowledge within Latinx communities and movements. He is the author of the award-winning Figures of the Future: Latino Civil Rights and the Politics of Demographic Change (Princeton University Press, 2021). His latest projects explore investigate 1) racialized political trust, 2) Du Boisian sociological methodology, and 3) the afterlives of political repression in Puerto Rican Chicago.
