Chris is a second year graduate student and an affiliate of the Center for the Study of Religion and Society. His interests include gender, sexuality, methodology, culture, and religion. He is broadly focused on how individuals depend on group level interactions to interpret societal level norms and narratives. In his Master’s thesis, he contrasts how men in a rural fire department define and practice masculinity both in and out of the firehouse.
