Recent Graduates: Where Are They Now?
Congratulations to the Class of 2006!
Megan Bears will be interning at the College Football Hall of Fame as a curator doing artifact collection and design. After the internship is over, she plans on attending graduate school to earn a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology.
Marques Bolden will be heading to medical school next year. He has not decided what school he will be attending, but is choosing between Indiana University School of Medicine and Case Western University School of Medicine. He intends on specializing in pediatrics.
Liz Bullock’s plans are still tentative. She is taking the LSAT in June, and will be applying to law school in the fall. She hopes to get an internship with the Public Interest Law Center in Philadelphia. The Public Interest Law Center specializes in civil rights and equal protection law.
Kelli Delay will be enrolled in an R.N. program in Chicago next year. In two years she will be applying to the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in the Physician Assistant program.
Nicholas Diacou is joining Americorps.
Brian Garcia is going to be working in Chicago for Smart and Associates LLP as a Business Consultant.
Bryan Guarnier is getting his masters in education at the University of Buffalo. The program is school counseling.
Erika Gurrola will be attending Loyola Law School in Los Angeles next year. She hopes to pursue either public interest or family law.
Meg Henican will be at Notre Dame working for the athletic department next year. She will be helping to plan and promote the year long celebration of the 35th anniversary of women's athletics at Notre Dame..
Daniel Hickey plans to return back home to Long Island to work. He wants to eventually attend graduate school for psychology and become a counselor in sports psychology.
Ashley Hobbs is joining PLACE Corps, a 2 year teaching/service program in Los Angeles, California. During the program, she will teach 6th grade and receive her Masters in Education from Loyola Marymount University.
Ben Howell will be working in the Chicago area.
Sean Huang will attend medical school, most likely at Indiana University.
Michele Jeffers is 95% sure that she will be attending Johns Hopkins Post-Baccalaureate Premedical Program next Fall. It is a 14-month program that will allow her to take the requisite classes for medical school and to do her own research.
Becky Keller will be working in New York City for Right Media, an online media company. She will be doing account management.
Lakota Mowrer will be joining Teach for America and is assigned to teach Special Education in South Dakota.
Molly Miner will be working at the Whitehouse in Chicago. Whitehouse is an editing agency that specializes in commercials, music videos, and films. She will be working mostly on commercials.
Christy Ostrowski will be working as a second grade teacher in Atlanta, GA next year.
Billy Peck is not sure what he is doing yet, but he does know what he wants to be doing. He is currently seeking employment with a University or NFL team as an equipment manager.
Adam Pfeifer is is working in Baltimore for Catholic Charities at Christopher Place Employment Academy.
Lauren Prease will be attending George Washington University Law School next year. She is not sure what program she will be entering but she is leaning toward Constitutional and Civil Rights Law or Intellectual Property Law.
Miguel Salazar is going on to graduate school at the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, TX for a Masters Degree in Communications.
Kara Santelli will be doing a service year as an AmeriCorps teacher next year. She will be working at the Academy Prep School in St. Petersburg, FL. Her duties will be assistant teaching, tutoring, and leading school activities and trips.
Dana Santiago plans on taking a year off before entering graduate school for Counseling Psychology. During this year off, she intends to gain some experience by interning/volunteering at a mental health facility. She also plans on doing some traveling abroad.
Heidi Schindler will be working in Fort Wayne, Indiana at BKD, LLP. She will be a staff accountant for them starting this fall.
Megan Sheehan will be working as the Central American Research and Spanish Translation Intern for Honduran Environmental Issues at the Center for International Policy in Washington, DC this summer.
Aimee Shelide will be doing ECHO: Faith Formation Leadership Program, through Notre Dame. She will be receiving her Masters in Theology, while taking classes at ND during the next 2 summers and working within a parish in Milwaukee, WI during the next 2 school years.
Jennifer Smith will be working for Creative Presence Partners marketing agency in Atlanta, GA
Eddie Song will be working full time in Tokyo, Japan as an English Language Instructor. He will be working for Nova Group of Japan.
Anne St. Clair plans to bike across the United States for Habitat for Humanity this summer. She then plans to work and live as a ski bum in Breckenridge, Colorado for one season. In the future, she intends to get her Ph.D. in Anthropology.
Rachel Thelen will be doing the ECHO program for two years. She will be spending two summers at Notre Dame getting a masters in theology; the rest of her time will be spent at a parish in Fort Worth, Texas, doing work in catechetical ministry.
Anthony Velardi has recently enrolled in the Stetson University College of Law, located in Tampa, Florida.
Tim Wallace plans on playing professional hockey.
Mike Walsh has decided to pursue a career in professional hockey for the next several years. He does not know exactly where he will be as he has yet to be signed. After this, he will be attending law school.
