Profile

Julie Dallavis is a fourth-year graduate student in the Department of Sociology and CREO. She completed her MA in Sociology at the University of Notre Dame in 2015. Prior to joining the Sociology department, Julie earned a Master's degree in Education and a BA in the Program of Liberal Studies from the University of Notre Dame. Her professional experience includes teaching at the K-12 and college level, preparing academic publications, and working with undergraduate education minors. Julie is interested in the organization and culture of schools, the impact of teachers on student outcomes, and the influence of faith-based schools on student, family, and community outcomes. She works as a research assistant for Dr. Mark Berends on a project that examines school choice in Indiana.
