Sartain is currently working on his dissertation, “Transcendence: an Examination of the Social Effects of Individual Religiosity,” which focuses on the role religious motivation plays in shaping individual action. He is also currently serving as project manager for the Portraits of American Life Study being conducted out of the University’s Center for the Study of Religion. Eric also has valuable teaching experience, having taught Introduction to Sociology at the University of Memphis.
