Profile

Covay received her MA from the University of Notre Dame and her BA from Baldwin-Wallace College summa cum laude. Her research interests include education and social stratification. Sociology of Education recently accepted for publication Covay and co-author Bill Carbonaro's paper focusing on inequality of participation in extracurricular activities. Her current research examines the emergence and persistence of the black-white achievement gap before formal school entry through secondary education.
