Profile
Camarata comes to the sociology department with a 2004 B.S. in Education and History from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. Instead of immediately entering graduate school, Camarata pursued her passion for teaching and taught two years of fourth grade at a public elementary school in Nashville. She also taught English to high school international students in San Diego and Boston during summer vacations. She has worked as a research assistant at Vanderbilt University Medical Center on several projects involving child language delays.
