Profile
June received her M.A. in Sociology from California State University, Los Angeleswhere shewrote her thesis on the effects of ethnic identification and parenting on abortion opinion formation of second generation Korean American college-aged students (a comparative study to Caucasian American students in the same peer group) in the Southern California area. Her course of study and work experience, including a background in art, biology, social work, and researchcultivated her interests in approaching race/ethnicity from other areas of sociology including: marriage and family, gender, labor, culture, and sexuality utilizing theory and mixed research methodology as foundations for her research.June is proficient in Korean and basic Spanish.
