Profile
Dr. Williams' current research centers on racial, economic and institutional differences in home mortgage lending. His publications have appeared in the American Sociological Review, Social Problems, Demography, Journal of Urban Affairs, Sociology of Education, Journal of Marriage and the Family, Sociological Methods and Research, and Cityscape. With the assistance of grants from the Department of Housing and Urban Development and the National Science Foundation, Dr. Williams has evaluated the community reinvestment performance of primary and secondary market mortgage leaders in the state of Indiana and nationwide. In 2003 he won the Rodney F. Ganey, Ph.D., Faculty Community-Based Research Award, which recognizes distinguished research conducted for a local nonprofit or community organization.
