Profile
Jessica Collett joined the Notre Dame faculty in fall 2006. Her dissertation, "Third-Party Intervention and Relationship Outcomes: Extending Social Exchange Theory through the Incorporation of Intermediaries," draws on recent research in procedural justice and social exchange to explore how various types of dispute resolution affect the ongoing relationship between disputants. While at Arizona, she received outstanding graduate student paper awards in both the sociology of religion and the sociology of emotions. Recent research appears in the American Journal of Sociology, Social Psychology Quarterly, and Social Forces.
